It’s a common mod, but I’ve never done it. Mostly I’ve done rehouses with upgraded pots, jacks and switches. This one uses the existing enclosure. Destructive to the enclosure, but a more elegant approach in modding the circuit to bypassing the effect. Anyone who has the SCH-1 in their collection knows the stock version messes with you tone dramatically when the effect is off. This mod fixes that. The challenge, there are different versions of the SCH-1 and their PCB layouts are slightly different. SCH-Z, features here, has some of the 0-resistors removed and some components moved around. I had to follow the actual traces in order to get the mod to work. A little more work, but the concept itself was the same. Turned out great. Another chorus to add to the board.

This is when you got in a list and patiently waited for your hand built masterpiece. Very different today... SMD has replaced through hole and PTP wiring. Timmy has gone the way of MXR mass production. All great business moves for sure, but there was something about getting a truly boutique pedal. Sure, there are still some great builders still hand building, but it’s a much different environment back in 2002-2004. Axess Electronics put it all together for me with the Bob Bradshaw foot controller. I had two audio switchers from Mario... loved them.
After 4+ years of P90X, I decided to do something new. Started a new kettlebell routine this week... different workout x3 per week. In between cardio and 30 min of pull-ups and pushups. I only have one kettlebell so I use a dumbbell as a substitute.

He broke barriers among the Chinese and Americans... really the world. Bruce Lee inspired me to train in Judo, Wrestling, Tang Soo Do, Aikido and FMA. He was my only asian role model growing up. Just a movie star? No, he was much more to many. Especially to this Japanese kid growing up.

Huge inspiration, seen him live about a dozen time with Burning Water, Raging Honkies, Mike Landau Trio, etc. Huge inspiration for me... still is.
Jeff and Mike Porcaro... miss those two. This release is in my top 5 of Toto’s catalog. I remember being soooo stoked getting this and even more so after a listen. Lukather in top form.
